Where Creativity Grows!

Join us this spring for a variety of youth workshops in both theatre and visual arts! These classes are designed to introduce students of all ages to new techniques, art styles, and creative approaches. Led by our talented instructors, each session aims to spark curiosity, build confidence, and inspire young artists through exciting, hands-on topics.

YOUTH THEATRE WORKSHOPS


Tuesday, February 10 | Makeup & Hair for the Stage | 4:00 - 5:30 PM | $40
Participants will watch a live demonstration and create paper mock-ups for characters such as a Princess, Evil Queen, or Blacksmith. We’ll explore reference images, common industry brands, and current stage makeup and hair trends.

Thursday, February 19 | Audition Prep | 4:00 - 5:30 PM | $40
Learn how to choose the right song and monologue to showcase your strengths and connect with your audience, with tips to help you feel confident and prepared.

Thursday, February 26 | Back to Basics | 4:00 - 5:30 PM | $40
An introduction to the parts of a stage and how performers use the space effectively to tell a story.

Tuesday, March 3 | Set Design | 4:00 - 5:30 PM | $40
Using a script from our library, students will learn how to create a mood board, plan designs on paper, and use a budget efficiently to bring a story to life on stage.

VISUAL ARTS WORKSHOPS


Friday, March 13 | Paper Making Workshop | 2:30 - 4:00 PM | $45 | Grades 4th - 12th
Discover the art of handmade paper! In this hands-on, two-part workshop, students will create their own paper using recycled materials, then return to print on their finished sheets using foam plate printing techniques. This creative experience combines sustainability with printmaking fun.

Friday, March 20 | Fish Printmaking | 4:00 - 5:30 PM | $45 | Grades 4th - 12th
Explore the traditional Japanese art of fish printing in a clean, beginner-friendly way. Using rubber fish and aquatic shapes, students will learn how to create detailed prints on thin paper. This unique workshop blends history, creativity, and hands-on design.

Friday, April 17 | Intro to Linocut Printmaking | 4:00 - 6:00 PM | $50 | Grades 8th - 12th
Learn the basics of block printing through linocut carving and design. Students will carve their own printing blocks and create multiple prints of their original artwork. This class builds confidence with tools while encouraging creativity and craftsmanship.

Friday, April 24 | Beginner Textile Weaving | 4:00 - 5:30 PM | $45 | Grades 4th - 12th
Create your own woven wall art in this beginner-friendly fiber arts workshop. Students will weave colorful yarns, ribbons, and strings on pre-made cardboard looms in fun shapes like squares, hearts, and circles. Finished pieces will be transformed into wall hangings to take home and display.
