Join us for our annual Southern Arts Invitational

August 27th - October 30th, 2026

We invite you to apply for The Arts Center's Annual Southern Arts invitational. This exhibition provides artists working in all mediums the opportunity to participate in a regional exhibit featuring various works of arts. Artists are invited to submit up to three entries for the juried exhibit.

The winners will be announced at the opening reception on Thursday, August 27th from 5:30 - 7:00pm. Participating artists and guests are encouraged to attend.

CASH PRIZES FOR 1ST, 2ND, AND 3RD PLACE.

PRELIMINARY JURYING

Artists must complete this online entry form, pay the non-refundable entry fee of $15 per entry, and submit high resolution of images by July 29th to be eligible. Artists must send images of their entry/entries to curator@moultriearts.org along with the title of each piece. All entries will be judged on the basis of artists merit. Artists will be notified of acceptance status by July 31st, 2026.

RULES OF ELIGIBILITY

  1. An artist must complete ONE entry form for up to three works of art. Artists must complete registration by July 29th, 2026
  2. Each participating artist may enter up to three original works of his/her own creation (no reproductions) within the last three years. Artworks will NOT be accepted if they have been submitted to SAI in previous years.
  3. All works must be for sale and be reasonably priced. Works should be priced to include a 30% commission fee for The Arts Center.
  4. Artists must be 18 years or older to participate.
  5. Two dimensional works must be framed. Canvases with a gallery wrapped edge (1.25" in depth or higher) do not have to be framed and all edges must be painted.
  6. Two dimensional works cannot exceed 50 inches in width or 60 inches in height, including frame, and must be ready to hang by one point, with wire, ( NO sawtooth hangers) upon delivery.
  7. Three-dimensional works must be stable and shall not exceed 90 pounds in weight.
  8. No exceptionally fragile work or work requiring special installation, lighting or electrical supply will be accepted.
  9. Absolutely no works may be removed from the show until November 2nd, 2026.
  10. No change in title or price is allowed after entry form is submitted.
  11. The Arts Center reserves the right to decline any artwork or exclude from award consideration for rule infraction.

IMPORTANT DATES

Wednesday, July 29th: Deadline for Entry
Completed entry form, entry fee, and entry images MUST be received by July 29th, 2026, 11:45PM.

Friday, July 31st: Notification of Acceptance
Artists will be notified of acceptance by July 31st by e-mail.

August 5th - 6th: Art Delivery Dates
Labeled works should be delivered to The Arts Center at 401 7th Ave SW in Moultrie, Georgia. Delivery hours: 10:30 am - 5:00 pm.

Thursday, August 27th: Opening Reception
The opening reception will be from 5:30 pm—7:00 pm.

Friday, October 30th: Last Day of Exhibit
The exhibit will be on display until 5:30 pm on October 30th, 2026.

November 2nd - 3rd: Art Pickup Dates
All works must be picked up from The Arts Center from 10:30 am - 5:00 pm.

ARTIST REQUIREMENTS

Participating artists are required to determine and provide title, selling price, medium, and appropriate category for each entry. The selling price should include the 30% commission share for The Arts Center. There are two categories listed on each form to select from.

TWO DIMENSIONAL: Includes painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, photography, papermaking, etc.
THREE DIMENSIONAL: Includes sculpture, ceramics, blown glass, jewelry, carved and turned wood, etc. Exhibition will be judged in its entirety.
